How it works
Straight from the line
Your drinking water system is connected to the water pipe. We plan the floor space, open spaces, electricity and wastewater management to suit the system.
Water is treated
Pre-filter and a reverse osmosis membrane work together. Under pressure, some of the water flows through the membrane; Another stream of water carries retained substances to the drain.
Your water. Your choice.
Room-temperature, cold or hot water, depending on the model. A20 and Sparkling also provide sparkling water and ice cubes; Pure Ice also makes ice. Check each appliance for its available features.
What happens in the filters?
Pre-filter - The combination of sediment filter and activated carbon filters sand, suspended solids and rust particles from the water. The activated carbon binds chlorine and organic compounds to its surface. This is how the water is prepared for the membrane.
Membrane – Reverse osmosis involves passing water through a semi-permeable membrane. It separates dissolved substances such as salts and heavy metals as well as the finest contaminants, including bacteria, from the water. The separated substances are removed with the wastewater.
Post-filter – The activated carbon post-filter binds remaining chlorine and substances that cause odors and tastes on its surface. This improves the smell and taste of the filtered water.
UV light – makes germs in water harmless. This additional level is included with Sparkling; for other devices it depends on the equipment.
Why is a wastewater connection needed?
In reverse osmosis, the membrane separates dissolved substances and impurities from the water. Some of the water takes these separated substances with it and sends them to the drain via the sewer pipe. For this, the system requires a wastewater connection - the filtered water flows separately to your water intake.
Filter drinking water or soften the house?
Drinking water filtration: For you and the people you care about.
For your glass and your body: The system prepares the water you drink every day.
For your family: Filtered water for drinking, cooking and preparing food and drinks.
For your team and your customers: A drinking water solution directly in the office, practice or company.
The place of use: Directly where you get your drinking water - for example in the kitchen.
Water softening: For your house and the technology in it.
For washing machines and dishwashers: Less limescale deposits in the connected devices.
For taps and showers: fewer traces of limescale and less effort when removing limescale.
For pipes and hot water technology: Less new limescale deposits in the connected water installation.
For single-family homes, multi-family homes or businesses: Central softening, planned to suit water consumption and building.
Your choice: Filtered water for humans. Less lime for buildings and equipment. If you want both, the systems can be combined.
